RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course: Your License to Drive on Water!

Our RYA Level 2 Powerboat Course is your essential 'driving license' for the water, giving you the skills and confidence to handle a powerboat with ease. This two-day course is ideal for anyone looking to hire boats or pursue a career in watersports instruction. Upon successful completion, you’ll be qualified to apply for an International Certificate of Competence (ICC), required by many countries for boat rentals abroad.

Course Overview:

Held over two days on Walney Channel (near Barrow-in-Furness) and Coniston Water, this course covers:

  • High-Speed Handling
  • Low-Speed Manoeuvreing
  • Man Overboard Recovery
  • Comprehensive Boat Safety: Learn the essential safety equipment, boating regulations, and collision avoidance rules.

Our practical and engaging course equips you with real-world skills on the water.

Key Details:

  • Prerequisites: No prior experience needed
  • Minimum Age: 12 (Under-16s will receive an endorsed certificate)
  • Course Fee: £310 (One-to-one options available for an additional fee)
  • Accommodation: This course is non-residential, but there are many local accommodation options if you need them.
