2026 Evening Sailing Sessions

2026 Evening Sailing Sessions - Subsidised by the Rawdon Smith Trust

We’re excited to announce that the Rawdon Smith Trust is generously subsidising our on-the-water events for children and families by two-thirds—so your child can join our Sailing Club for less than £2 per hour!

When & Who

  • Sessions: Monday evenings during term time, from after Easter until early October.
  • Ages: Year 5 and above.
  • Start Time: Arrive from 17:10; sailing begins as soon as possible after 17:30.
  • Finish: 20:30.

What’s On Offer

Our club is all about fun, relaxed sailing and adventure. In addition to our regular evening sessions, we offer:

  • Family events
  • Race training
  • RYA sailing courses (beginner to advanced)
  • Regional racing events

More Than Just Sailing

We proudly deliver the RYA OnBoard Club Scheme, using sailing to develop six key character attributes:

  • Communication
  • Teamwork
  • Determination
  • Independence
  • Confidence
  • Creativity

Sometimes, we’ll run alternative activities to suit the weather or staffing, or to focus on these attributes. We also finish each evening indoors with games, theory, and social time—ready for collection at 20:30.

2026 Membership & Pricing

New for 2026:

  • Annual Membership: With RST funding, Only £150 for 19 evening sessions, family lake & food events, and one sailing course. —guarantee your place all season!

Spring Block (6 evenings):

    • April: Mondays 13th (No sailing - teambuilding and paddlesports), 20th, 27th
    • May: Wednesday 6th (TBC), Mondays 11th & 18th

Summer Block (7 evenings):

    • June: Mondays 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
    • July: Mondays 6th & 13th

Autumn Block (6 evenings):

    • September: Mondays 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
    • October: Mondays 5th & 12th (12th: fun on water & land, no sailing)

  • Parent/Guardian: At least one parent must remain on site and agree to act in loco parentis if needed.
